Thanks to everyone for participating this season – we hope you have enjoyed the league. A special thanks goes out to our captains and managers, and to Jim, Ginger, Ali, Rob, Lance, and Bill - you have been amazing, and your help made this season possible! We look forward to seeing you at the final tournament on April 7th – please make sure to let your captain and managers know if you will be attending. BBQ and giveaways to follow the games!

SBUL Final Tournament - April 7, 2012

SBULLIONS,

The final tournament of the 2011-2012 season approaches. Here are the current details, with more info to come. The most important stuff is in this email though.

DATE: April 7, 2012
LOCATION: John Mise Park, Moorpark Avenue and Mitty Way, San Jose, CA 95129 (Google Maps Link)
TIME: 9 AM to 5 PM (time may be amended, but this is the league ending tournament, so we have a lot to do).
FOOD: Basic Tournament food + BBQ at the end!!
SWAG: Swag will be available, make sure you have pockets to put your swag into.

Of course, bring your jersey and a water bottle!

This tournament is to decide the league champion. Teams will be seeded according to their record, and there will be byes for the teams that have performed well in the regular season.

If you can RSVP for this tournament, please let your captain and manager know, or email td@sbul.org. This will help for planning, in case any teams are severely shorthanded.

Requesting Information for the 2012/13 Season

We have received quite a number of requests recently from people who are new to SBUL on how to join the league. Anyone who wishes to be added to our contact list can send a short e-mail with the subject "Request to Join Contact List" to info@sbul.org. We will confirm receipt of these requests every couple of weeks, so please be patient with regards to a reply.

FYI, here is a general schedule of when things will happen for the 2012/13 season:
AUGUST: Registration date announced
MID-SEPT: Registration
EARLY OCT: Draft & Roster selection
MID-OCT: Captains & Managers Meeting
LATE OCT: Season begins
EARLY APRIL: Season ends

SBUL HAT Tournament - Feb 4th

The SBUL tourney for Saturday February 4th is officially a HAT tournament. So teams will be randomized and you must wear a hat! Make sure you wear a really cool hat, because there will be something special for said hat wearers!

The tournament will again be at Marijane Hamann Park, San Jose. First pull at 10 AM, but try to arrive by 9:30 AM, so you can find out what team you are playing with!

Make sure you bring a white and dark, so you can mix with your team appropriately. There will be food and water at the fields, but make sure you bring a water bottle!

RSVP to your captain/manager as soon as you can!

SBUL Tournment #2 - Feb 4th

If you haven't heard already, the 2nd SBUL tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 4th. So mark your calendars and let your captain/managers know if you can make it!
